9月1号，开学首日，走进NACIS学子发现在校门口迎接他们的，除了熟悉的校长和老师们，还多了一位特殊的“成员“——一台AI机器人，它站在校门口，用略带电子感的声音，对每一位踏入校门的孩子说出：“Hi！欢迎来到诺达双语，新学期我们一起成长。”
孩子们先是愣住，随即爆发出惊喜的笑声，有人好奇地凑上前去“对话”，更有胆大的孩子伸出手，轻轻和这位“AI校长”的击掌问候。那一刻，科技已不再是课本上的概念，也不再是电视上那个会飞转手帕的杂技高人，而是身处诺达校园的钢铁NASICer，也许就是这一次和AI机器人的接触，即将成为点燃他们崭新梦想的火种。
On September 1, the first day of the academic year, NACIS students were surprised to find that alongside their familiar teachers and peers, there was also a special “new member” – an AI-powered robot standing at the school gate. The robot greeted every child in a slightly electronic voice, “Hi! Welcome to NACIS. Let’s grow together in the new semester.”
The children froze for a while and then burst into laughter. Some leaned forward to start a “conversation”. Some were bold enough to reach out to give the “AI Principal” a high-five. At that moment, technology was no longer a concept in textbooks,nor the acrobat on TV that could spin a handkerchief in mid-air. It became a NACISer standing on campus. Perhaps this time’s contact with the AI robot will become the spark igniting students’ brand-new dreams.

NACIS的AI空间并不是一个单一的空间，而是由教学区、合作实践区和展示区三大功能区域组成：教学区26台可升降Dell一体机课桌、Classin麦克风阵列系统、录播与AI视频分析系统，都在为个性化教学提供数据支撑。合作实践区配备4台3D打印机和4台Pico 4 Ultra VR眼镜，学生可以在动手操作中深化理解。而未来将增设的陈列区，则用于呈现学生成果与前沿案例。AI教学实验室将以可视化、互动性、全数据的智能环境一体联动，真正让技术服务于每一位成长中的学习者。
The AI space can be divided into three functional areas: the teaching area, the collaborative practice area and the display area. The teaching area is equipped with 26 liftable Dell all-in-one desks and a Classin microphone array system. The recording and AI video analytics systems provide supportive data for individualized teaching. The collaborative practice area features four 3D printers and 4 pairs of Pico 4 Ultra VR classes. Students can deepen their understanding through hands-on practices. In the future, there will also be an AI display area to showcase students’ learning outcomes and cutting-edge cases. At the AI Lab, daily teaching and learning will take place in a visual, interactive and data-rich intelligent environment. Therefore, every growing learner will benefit from technology.
AFI，全称Advanced Future Institute，是NACIS于2026年9月在九年级启动的一个试点项目，将人工智能深度融入日常教学。 NACIS的AI协调员Hazel老师介绍说，AFI将在九年级的相应班级全面进入学科的课堂，帮助学生运用AI发现优势、突破难点，并以更适合自己的节奏持续进步。我们期待培养的不只是AI工具的使用者，更是拥有扎实学术基础，并具备批判性思维、创造力与行动力的未来创新者。
AFI, short for Advanced Future Institute, is a pilot programme launched in September 2026 at NACIS Shanghai. It integrates artificial intelligence deeply into daily teaching and learning. AFI will be further integrated into the daily teaching of relevant Grade 9 classes, enabling students to discover their strengths, overcome difficulties and progress continuously at a suitable pace. Our expectation is not just to cultivate users of AI tools, but to cultivate future innovators with solid academic foundations, critical thinking, creativity and motivation.
NACIS中学部助理校长Doris老师介绍说，AI在诺达的落地绝不只是多添置几台AI设备那么简单，“那只是第一步”，Doris老师坦言：“七年级综合科学课程将引入剑桥大学与诺德安达教育集团联合开展的AI科研项目。而八年级将更加注重AI与真实世界的联结。学生将以AI为辅助工具，观察现实问题、提出解决方案，并持续迭代产品原型。诺达为学生提供着助力的台阶，是希望业坚信他们能够站得更高，走得更远。”
Ms. Doris, the Assistant Head of Secondary, explained that the implementation of AI at NACIS is far beyond purchasing additional AI devices. “That is only the first step,” Ms. Doris said, “In Grade 7 Integrated Science classes, we will introduce the AI research project jointly developed by Cambridge and NAE. In Grade 8, we will focus on the connection between AI and real world. Students will use AI as an auxiliary tool to observe real-world issues, propose solutions and continuously iterate product prototypes. At NACIS, we provide support for our students in every aspect because we firmly believe that they can reach higher and go further.”
AI走进课堂不是让它简化学生的学习过程，而是让学习者拥有更加个性化、科学化的学习体验。帮助学生把时间和精力投入到更加深入的思辨与探究之中。技术是学习的助手，而不是替代，这才是AI走进课堂的真正意义所在。
Bringing AI into classrooms is not about simplifying the learning process. It is about providing students with more individualized and scientific learning experience, helping them devote more time and energy to profound thinking and exploration. Technology is a learning aid, not a substitute for the learner. With this in mind, we understand the role AI plays in our classrooms.
