本次参加考试的46位同学均是九年级,并在第一学期10月份参加考试,考试时间比往年提早了半年多,更让人欣喜的是本次参加考试的46位同学中,34位同学获得A*、10位同学获得A;A-A*率达到96%。This time, all 46 students taking this exam are from Grade 9 and they sat for the exam in October, which is more than half a year earlier than in previous years. It is even more encouraging that among these 46 students, 34 of them achieved an A* and 10 achieved an A. The A-A* rate reached 96%.
考试是剑桥考试局面向14-16岁学生的数学考试,NACIS推出IGCSE考试以来,着力两个方向的发展:“扩大考试参与面”、“向低年级延伸”。本次参加考试的46位同学均是九年级,并在第一学期10月份参加考试,考试时间比往年提早了半年多,更让人欣喜的是本次参加考试的46位同学中,34位同学获得A*、10位同学获得A;A-A*率达到96%。这样的优异成绩证实了教师的专业能力与学生的接受能力是高度匹配的,这批学生继而进入IGCSE(0606)数学的学习就非常扎实。在此,我们必须强调的是每个孩子的特质是不一样的,成长周期也不一样,孩子们各有各的“花期”,因此,九、十年级我们安排了多次IGCSE的考试,让孩子们在老师的指导与鼓励下进行选择。相信每个孩子能在丰富的课程组合中找到适合自己的“款式”。
Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580) exam is a mathematics examination offered by Cambridge Examination Board for students aged 14 to 16. Since we introduced the IGCSE exams, we have attached great importance to two aspects: expanding the participation and extending the exams to lower grades. This time, all 46 students taking this exam are from Grade 9 and they sat for the exam in October, which is more than half a year earlier than in previous years. It is even more encouraging that among these 46 students, 34 of them achieved an A* and 10 achieved an A. The A-A* rate reached 96%. These outstanding results proved that the teaching capabilities of our teachers are highly aligned with students’ learning abilities. They are now more prepared to embark on the learning of IGCSE Additional Maths (0606). We must emphasize that every child is unique. Their growth cycles differ. Each student has his/her own “blooming period”. Therefore, we have arranged multiple IGCSE exams for Grade 9 and 10 students so that students can make options under the guidance and encouragement of teachers and take the exams when fully prepared. I am confident that every child can find their suitable “style” within our diverse subject combinations on offer.
