Looking back on NACIS’s ten-year journey, a steadfast commitment to the most fundamental ideals and passions of education has remained the driving force behind its continuous progress. Over the past decade, supported by a comprehensive suite of international programmes, a stable and high-quality team of both national and international faculty, a rich platform for co-curricular activities, and a strong home–school partnership ethos, NACIS graduates have gained admission to leading universities around the world, including the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK; the University of California, Berkeley, New York University, Vanderbilt University, Pomona College in the US; the University of Sydney in Australia; and the University of Hong Kong, among many others. An international outlook, outstanding English communication skills, and the confidence to perform on global stages have become defining hallmarks of NACIS students.
随着课程建设多样化进程的不断推进,诺达在最初的IB课程的基础上,适时推出了A-level课程,并于2025年9月在小学部一年级率先开出2个融合班。小学融合班运行一个学期以来,得到了学生和家长的广泛赞誉。随着课改和上海市中、高考改革的不断加深,NACIS的融合班的推出和实践有着更为积极的意义。2026年9月,NACIS还将在前期推出小学一年级融合班的基础上推出六年级的融合班课程,完成融合班课程的有序衔接。日前诺达已经官宣了高中5条升学路径,其中路径4的“曜麟计划”就是参加国内高考,而6年级融合班课程正是“曜麟计划”中最重要的承前启后的一环。后续,NACIS 还将推出10年级的融合课程,完成小学融合班—初中融合班—高中融合班的完整闭环。
With the continuous advancement of diversified curriculum development, NACIS has expanded beyond its original International Baccalaureate (IB) programme to introduce the A-level programme in 2025, and in September of the same year launched two G1 integrated classes. Since operating for one semester, the primary integrated classes have received widespread acclaim from both students and parents. Against the backdrop of deepening national curriculum reform and the ongoing reforms of Shanghai’s lower and upper secondary entrance examinations, the introduction and implementation of NACIS’s integrated programmes carry even greater strategic significance. Building on the earlier introduction of the Grade 1 integrated classes, NACIS will launch the Grade 6 Integrated Programme in September 2026, thereby completing a coherent and well-sequenced articulation of the integrated curriculum. NACIS has recently announced five high school pathways, among which Pathway Four - National University Pathway - prepares students for the national college entrance examination (Gaokao). The Grade 6 Integrated Programme constitutes a critical transitional link within this pathway, serving as a bridge between earlier and later stages of study. In due course, NACIS will also introduce an integrated curriculum at Grade 10, thereby establishing a complete and coherent pathway spanning primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary integrated programmes.

The forthcoming Grade 6 Integrated Programme is positioned as a junior secondary curriculum framework characterised by “dual-track progression and the integration of strengths.” Students will acquire a solid foundation in the national curriculum, enabling them to meet the requirements of the Zhongkao, while simultaneously benefiting from the distinctive strengths of international education within the NACIS environment. Through this integrated approach, students will cultivate a global perspective, critical thinking skills, and well-rounded competencies. The overarching goal of the Lower Secondary Integrated Programme is to nurture graduates who are academically rigorous, comprehensively developed, and highly proficient in bilingual application, thereby laying a robust dual-pathway foundation for progression either to domestic general senior high schools or to international education systems.
上闵外(初中)跟诺达双语学校的物理距离只有两三公里,而选择与上闵外合作却不是仅仅基于地理优势,而是基于更为深远的考量。

NACIS中学部助理校长Doris Tao详细介绍了融合班的课程内容,语数英、人文科学体育都使用国家课程,完全按照中考高考的标准体系和考核体系进行课程的设置和实施。艺术类课程(美术、音乐、戏剧)的内容和授课形式则跟国际班一样,充分利用NAE国际化集团的资源(比如与NAE合作长达十年在艺术界享有盛名的美国茱莉亚学院),为融合班的学生提供广阔接受国际顶尖艺术教育的平台。除了国内中、高考的升学路径,融合班的学生同样要保有海外求学的可能性。以科学课为例,除了每周三节的国家课程还添加了跟国际班一样的诺达独有的和MIT合作构建的课程,突出国际化、实践能力和项目制学习。
Ms. Doris Tao, National Assistant Head of Secondary, provided a detailed introduction to the integrated curriculum. Core subjects including Chinese, Mathematics, English, Humanities, Sciences, and Physical Education will follow the national curriculum framework and be implemented strictly in accordance with Zhongkao and Gaokao standards and assessment systems. In contrast, arts subjects including Visual Arts, Music, and Drama will adopt the same content and teaching approaches as the international stream, fully leveraging the global resources of Nord Anglia Education (NAE), including its long-standing collaboration of over a decade with the world-renowned Juilliard School. This partnership provides students in integrated classes with broad access to world-class international arts education. Beyond domestic Zhongkao and Gaokao pathways, students in Integrated Class will also retain the possibility of pursuing overseas education. For example, in science education, in addition to three weekly periods of the national curriculum, students will participate in our proprietary programme developed in collaboration with MIT, identical to that offered in the international stream, with a strong emphasis on internationalization, practical skills and project-based learning.

Moving forward, the curriculum development teams of NACIS and MinHang Foreign Language Middle School Affiliated to SISU will engage in deep and systematic collaboration. A seven-member team from MinHang Foreign Language Middle School Affiliated to SISU composed of assistant principal, subject leaders, and grade 6 subject heads for Chinese, Mathematics, and English has been fully committed to the collaborative initiative. Meanwhile, our subject teachers have already begun participating in joint teaching and research activities at MinHang Foreign Language Middle School Affiliated to SISU, ensuring comprehensive preparation for the launch of the Integrated Programme in September 2026.

Doris Tao, National Assistant Head of Secondary, stated that NACIS curriculum framework encompasses the IB and A Level programmes, as well as integrated classes and the “Art and Athletics Pathway” designed for students in the arts and sports. A child’s development is neither singular nor simplistic. The most effective curriculum is one that best aligns with a child’s individual characteristics, maximizes their strengths, respects their personal attributes, and corresponds with the family’s educational planning.
